Harvest of Hope Community Fair 2009

As many of you know, we are raising funds for the community farm. God has provided us the opportunity to host the Harvest of Hope Community Fair on 6/6. We are very excited about it. May God use that opportunity to bring glory His name.

God provides

The past few weeks have been…amazing! God miraculously provided a way for Compassion to meet the first installment towards the community farm landsite. ’Amazing’ might be an understatement but I don’t know how else to describe it. All I can say is wow…and thank you Jesus! All the glory belongs to the Lord!

I’m reminded over and over again of the passage in Genesis 22. Abraham didn’t really know how God was going to fulfill His promise by asking him to do something so difficult but he had faith and obeyed God. Sometimes we might not know how it’s all going to work out, but if we obey God, have faith, and fully trust Him to accomplish His purpose through us He works it out. God is beyond our understanding. God himself provides for us.

Once again, I knew God as Jehovah Jireh -the God who provides.

Hi. Welcome! Never would have thought that I’d become a “blogger” but here I am and I’m happy to be here.

You might or might not know why we started Compassion for the Nations. Please visit www.compassionforthenations.org and read up on our story, history, and what we do. To make a long story short, in 2001 we, my husband Jose and I, became aware of how blessed we are and wanted to give back and bless someone else. From that desire, birthed Compassion for the Nations. Throughout the years we were happy with just monetarily supporting the poor and needy in India but was God was wanting more. He wants us…me…and you. The eyes of my heart opened after my mom’s death. Mom passed away on December 12, 2007…and life has never been the same and it will never be. Her passing is enabling me to live daily with an eternal perspective. God has created each one of us for a specific purpose. As we’ve taken this step of giving ourselves to God to work through us, to fulfill His purpose, I pray that you’ll do the same.
